Carolina Law Lunch Break: Gaming Law Discussion

Event Description - Carolina Law Lunch Break: Gaming Law Discussion

According to Epic Games (a company based in Cary, North Carolina), Fortnite is one of the most important entertainment properties in the world today, with over 350 million accounts and more than 2.5 billion friend connections in the gaming world. This company, which publishes and develops Fortnite along with many other games, now has more than 1,000 employees around the world along with 40 offices worldwide. Double Tar Heel Canon Pence (BA ’01, JD ’07) serves as general counsel for Epic Games.

Join Pence, along with fellow Double Tar Heel and the Frankfurt Kurnit New York Co-chair of Interactive Entertainment—S. Gregory Boyd (MD ’02, JD ’04)—for a special Carolina Law Lunch Break. A discussion on intellectual property, regulations, and international legal issues around growing and managing a company like Epic Games will take place. Additionally, attendees will have a chance to ask questions to both Pence and Boyd about the world of gaming law.

Make plans to join the law school over your lunch for this special event. Registration is now open below!
